The Parker 400 Race Format & Start Procedures
Driver of Record Start/Finish Procedures:
Driver of Record / UDC5 Reminder: Driver of Record must start or finish the race, must be registered to the race vehicle and must have signed all of the releases required by the Unlimited Off-Road Racing. The Driver of Record will be given a “Driver of Record” wristband at onsite registration that must be worn by the Driver of Record and presented at the start OR finish of the race. Any team that fails to have their Driver of Record start or finish the race will result in a disqualification. An alternate driver may replace a Driver of Record racing for a points championship with a special exception approved by the Unlimited Off-Road Racing.
Ground Course Markings vs. GPS Markings:
Ground Markings:
- Course markings on the ground always take priority over what is provided on the GPS file, both in pits and on the entire race course.
- Please familiarize yourself with the Course Marking Guide.
GPS File Markings:
- Stop Checks: Stop Checks entering the pit are noted as “STOP CHECK, 25MPH SZ BEGINS” on the GPS file. All vehicles must come to a complete stop before entering the 25mph speedzones. Please use caution, as we will have course workers in that exact location.
- Speed Zones: Race speed in all pits is 25 mph.
- Resume Race Speed: When it is approved to resume race speed, it is noted as “25MPH SZ ENDS” on the GPS file. All vehicles may resume race speed when passing through the resume race speed signs.
- Virtual Check Points (VCPs): VCP’s will be placed along the race course to ensure there is no course cutting. Most VCP’s will be released as part of the official course files. Some will not be. Please note, this is not a VCP to VCP race.
- How close do you need to come within a VCP? 50 feet
- What is the penalty for a missed VCP? 15 minutes

Unlimited Race Notes:
- Unlimited Truck (4WD) and Unlimited Truck (2WD) will start in the order in which they qualified (mixed class).
- There will be a 10 minute gap between the last Class 1 car and first Unlimited Truck SPEC truck.
Motorcycle Race notes:
- Grand Prix Finish Defined: As soon as the first Open Pro Motorcycle is finished, no other motorcycles will begin another lap. In order for a rider to be an official finisher, they must complete at least half as many laps as the leader in their class. For example, if the class leader does 3 laps, then everyone would have to have 2 laps or more to be considered an official finisher.
